I've been away for longer than I can remember, but I am *finally* planning on revitalizing my dormant account and making an honest effort (when I have the time) to work on my skills as an artist. I will be starting small, with manageable chunks since work + grad courses + life in general keeps me overwhelmed and exhausted for the most part. I received books for Christmas "Figure Drawing for Kids" and "Portrait Drawing for Kids" - despite their appeal to a younger audience, I have read countless reviews of how helpful these books are for adults who want a basic, but comprehensive starting point to get going with drawing! I am not expecting miracles by any means (especially since I don't have a lot of tine to practice) but I am hopeful that I will one day be able to draw my precious characters in a way that at least represents them in my vision. Perhaps I will actually be able to have references of them rather than descriptive paragraphs, or using an image that is close to, but not
